Sounds debatable in today’s economy climate, doesn’t it? What’s not debatable however, are the benefits for business owners to be active members of the local Chambers of Commerce in the area. The operative phrase here is “active member”. Two active members of the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce will host a summer fun after hours Business Card Mixer and Open House. Jean Curtis, owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics and The Gallery, along with Dave and Sue Pavlow, owners of Skippack Goldsmiths and Gifts, invite all local business owners and associates to attend a free mixer. You don’t need to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce to attend, and it’s free to all. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors in Skippack and to talk to participating members about the benefits of joining the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce. In any event, you will be treated good food and good company, so why not just show up! The summer BBQ event will take place in the parking lot in front of their three stores (behind Yarnings). Hot dogs on the grill and lots more to eat and drink. The air conditioning will be humming inside the stores for those who prefer a cooler temperature. Be sure to browse through the three adjoining studios while you’re there to check out all they have to offer on a future shopping excursion to Skippack. Along with your appetite, be sure to bring plenty of business cards. Door prizes will be drawn from the business card fishbowl.
